www.massage2book.com

Neuromuscular  Massage Therapy is a specialized form of deep tissue massage in which digital pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain in the muscle. It is the most effective type of massage therapy for lower back pain and is also called trigger point myotherapy.

Neuromuscular Massage Therapy works to loosen hypertonic muscles and restore circulation to the affected area, breaking the chain reaction and relieving the patient’s discomfort. When the Myofascial obstructions are removed, the rest of the musculoskeletal system is able to relearn the correct methods of functioning, resulting in restoration of homeostatic balance.

Neuromuscular Massage Therapy is used to treat many different soft tissue problems such as Lower back pain, upper back pain, carpal tunnel like symptoms, sciatica like symptoms, hip pain, headaches, plantar fasciitis, calf cramps, tendonitis, knee pain, jaw pain, tempomandibular joint pain (TMJ disorders). Other benefits can include increased flexibility, wider range of motion, more balanced posture and increased energy.
